My interest in reduction linoprinting began in Mackay in 1985, as did my love of the tropics.

I was intrigued by the vibrant waxy blue coating surrounding the seeds from the Traveller’s Palm. They appear in many of these images reflecting on life cycles and personal change. Seeds and fruits move in and out of windows, settling, and moving on.

A familiar scene takes on a whimsical, sometimes surreal quality.
