Moving to Darwin in 1990 was a very significant time for me. I felt an immediate spiritual connection with the land, which was a great source of energy and inspiration.

The early images are about the ebb and flow that comes with change – the frangipani tree, a symbol of my journey. As I experienced the profound contrasts between the wet and dry seasons, the images became more about being outside the window and in the landscape.

I am still influenced by my time living in Darwin.
